Newcastle United have appointed Sudarshan Gopaladesi as the club’s technical director. Copaladesican, also known as “Suds” previously worked as Director of Football Intelligence for Atalanta for three years.
Prior to that, he worked for Benfica as Head of Sports Data Science for five years.

“Suds” will report directly to the new sporting director. And upon his appointment, will lead Newcastle’s football data operations, working closely with Eddie Howe and the coaching team. As well as the club’s performance evaluation, medical, analysis, methodology and player selection teams.
He will be responsible for bringing information to the men’s, women’s and academy teams.
