Michail Antonio, West Ham striker Admittedly disappointed that the team had to be eliminated from the Europa League.

The Hammers tied Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 in the Europa League quarter-finals, second leg, on Thursday. The combined results of the two matches were Leverkusen Promotion ufabet, which advanced to the semi-finals with a score of 3-1.

“It’s obviously disappointing. Last week we gave them way too much respect. But this week we came out on the field and showed what we can do,” Antonio said, who scored one goal.

“I feel irritated. I feel like we deserve more than this. But it’s football. Sometimes the judgment doesn’t go your way. We move on and build from there, trying to play in the Europa League again next year.

“We did a good job. There are quite a few opportunities in the game. They are clearly a quality team. I was disappointed with the way we played last week. We fear them too much.

“It didn’t feel like it was against 11 people, it was like it was against 13 or 14 people, including the two linemen.

“You just have to go ahead and try or make the decision work in your favor. But it didn’t happen. We must continue to play our way and remain professional.

“We are very proud of ourselves. What we have achieved over the past 4 years is incredible. Having played in the quarter-finals of the European stage for four years in a row, I never thought about it before.”
